Get Credit Ready for Homeownership

Money Smart

October is Credit Awareness Month. Discover how credit and homeownership go hand in hand!

This class will cover the WHO, WHAT, and WHY of credit and homeownership. We will discuss the foundation of credit, which starts with budgeting and getting finances in order. We will also discuss how to build or establish credit and lastly the basic credit requirements to obtain a mortgage loan with a lender.

Our presenter, Kyra Jefferson is currently the Financial Advising Manager with Beyond Housing. She has served as a HUD Certified Housing counselor and teaches home buyer education to provide the skills and knowledge required to navigate through the home purchase process.   Kyra has a passion to serve the community and help St. Louis become a better place to live. She enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling whenever she can! She is a huge sports fan of her boys who play football and baseball!

If you need accommodations for this class, please contact the Library as soon as you are able to after registering.
